Potravinový terorismus a agroterorismusVojenský profesionál

Svévolná kontaminace potravin za účelem terorismu je reálnou a aktuální hrozbou, přičemž úmyslná kontaminace potravin v jednom místě může mít zdravotní důsledky po celém světě. Tento článek reaguje na fakt, že chemické, biologické nebo radioaktivní látky by mohly být zneužity tak, aby poškodily civilní obyvatelstvo, a že právě potraviny by mohly být prostředkem pro rozšiřování takových látek. Jeho cílem je poskytnout čtenáři stručné informace o agroterorismu a potravinovém terorismu jako o možných formách terorismu. Článek čerpá z volně dostupných informačních zdrojů a neklade si za cíl být vyčerpávajícím pojednáním o daném tématu.

Food Terrorism and Agroterrorism

People commonly imagine terrorist attack as hijacking or improvised explosive device hidden in crowded place. However terrorists can also attack against food, cattle, farm crops or water resources. These kinds of attacks can be ranked among agroterrorism or food terrorism, whereas agroterrorists attack against cattle, farm crops or water resources; food terrorists attack against foodstuffs. This paper is intended to provide information about agroterrorism and food terrorism as possible forms of wilful violence. Food security became discussed issue especially after anthrax incidents in 2001. There are many authorities that deal with these issues, for example EU, NATO or World Health Organization.
